Gridspan

More than three posts per row.

Instagram shows 3 posts per row, even zoomed all the way out. Gridspan lets you pick up to 12 on your saved posts and profile grids, so finding something you saved weeks ago takes seconds.

Help

How do I use it?
  1. Open your saved posts on instagram.com (profile → Saved) or any profile.
  2. Click the Gridspan icon in Chrome's toolbar. If you can't see it, click the puzzle-piece icon and pin Gridspan.
  3. Drag the slider, or tap 4, 6, 8 or 10. The grid changes straight away.
Nothing changed on Instagram
  • Refresh the Instagram tab. Tabs that were open before you installed Gridspan need one reload.
  • Check the power button at the top of the Gridspan card is lit.
  • It works on grids of posts (saved, collections, profiles), not on the home feed or inside a single post.
  • Still nothing? Instagram may have changed its page. Please report it below so it can be fixed quickly.
The bottom of the page flickers while posts load

That's on purpose. Instagram only loads more posts when you scroll near the end, but with lots of columns the whole grid can fit on screen with nothing to scroll. Gridspan gives Instagram a quick nudge so it keeps loading. It stops as soon as the grid fills your window.

How do I go back to Instagram's normal layout?

Click the power button on the Gridspan card. Click it again to switch back on. Your settings are kept.

Does it work in other browsers?

Yes, any browser that installs from the Chrome Web Store: Chrome, Edge, Brave, Arc, Opera and Vivaldi. Desktop only.

Can Gridspan see my account or messages?

No. It only changes how the post grid is laid out. See the privacy policy below.

Privacy policy

Last updated 19 October 2026

Gridspan does not collect, store, sell or share any personal data. It has no analytics, no tracking and no server of its own.

The extension runs only on instagram.com, where it changes the layout of post grids. It does not read your messages, posts, account details or browsing history.

Your settings (posts per row, page width, spacing, on/off) are saved with Chrome's own storage so they stay the same across your devices. They never leave Chrome's sync.

When you remove Gridspan, Chrome opens a short optional survey asking why. The only information passed to that page is the Gridspan version number. Anything you choose to type into the feedback or survey forms is handled by Google Forms, and is used only to improve Gridspan.
